Wheelara is written for the household that shares a car. Our guides are educational, short, and aimed at parents, students and anyone handing over a set of keys.

We explain how auto insurance usually thinks about drivers in a home, and we give you questions to bring to your own insurer.

What we do not do

We do not sell insurance, quote prices, match you with companies, or share your details with anyone who might want to sell you something.

How we write and check

Every guide is written by the Wheelara editorial team at The Nelson M Group LLC from general, widely shared guidance, such as material published by state insurance departments and consumer organizations. Each guide shows the month it was last reviewed, and we revisit them at least once a year.
